Kevin Durant : NBA Finals going on....

according to ...

sportsillustrated.cnn.com

Kevin Durant

These NBA Finals have quickly morphed into a Kevin Durant vs.

LeBron James debate, which was natural and not surprising. Durant has reached the level where people can't help it -- they want to compare him to the best in the game.

Durant's Oklahoma City teammates do it too. They will tell him: You're right there with Kobe. You're as good as LeBron.

And he says: "No, I'm not."

"That's how he is, he is very humble," said Dexter Pittman of the Heat.

"Kevin is one of the most humble guys I've ever met. He's not flashy.

You can't even tell that he's in the NBA. He doesn't wear designer clothes.

He is always wearing a hat, backpack and shorts. That's how he is. Simple."

Whichever God is responsible for handing out basketball talents really outdid Himself with LeBron James. Nobody has ever had a hoops package quite like him.

He has the size of some of the best power forwards, the skill of some of the best shooters, the passing skills of an All-Star point guard,

and athleticism that rivals anybody in the history of the game. The package comes with a single burden: Everybody has seen it from the time James was in high school.

lebron james- masterful performance in ties series

from - bradenton

BOSTON — This was the Heat team that has spent the past two seasons living with the heaviest burden in all of American sports,

the relentless pressure of utmost expectations - much of it self-imposed - as well as the ill wishes of a nation eager to revel in Miami's failure.

Well, the cream rose.

And with it, the dream.

In a basketball arena that was a cauldron of hatred toward James on Thursday night, the NBA's MVP was big enough and strong enough to lift a city 1,500 miles away, and to carry his team all the way back home - still alive, still chasing a championship.

"We're not going to celebrate this win," James said afterward. "It's a one-game series now."

paul pierce - the last laugh on LeBron James

Cameras caught Paul Pierce breaking into a wide smile with 1:51 left in overtime as LeBron James was called for his sixth and final foul, getting disqualified for just the fourth time in his career, and the first time since April 2008.

It was also the first time in James’ career that he fouled out in the playoffs. Paul Pierce, on the other hand, fouled out for the third time in his last five playoff games dating back to Game 7 against Philadelphia. Pierce was called for his sixth just 38 seconds into overtime when he was called for running over Shane Battier on a cut across the lane.
