A 10-year-old gave birth to a baby girl in Columbia.
Mothers who are just children themselves run a very high risk of pregnancy induced health issues, such as high blood pressure known as preeclampsia.

“These girls are not ready to be pregnant. Their bodies are not mature. They may be able to get pregnant, but being able to have a baby is a whole other situation.”
