TOKYO – NTV (Nippon Television Network) is linking with stock photo and video company Amana Holdings to create high-definition clips from its old programs to sell for use in online advertising.
why need to this,
Because of Japan’s complicated and restrictive laws regarding performance copyright, the venture will initially concentrate on ‘talent-free’ clips featuring shots of nature and scenery.
The first set of clips will come from a program showing scenery from Europe that was broadcast on NTV’s broadcast satellite channel BS Nippon Corp.
